STADIUM SECURITY SCREENING ADVISORY
In conjunction with the recently announced elevated security standards across all 20 Major League Soccer venues, the Chicago Fire will be screening ALL FANS entering Toyota Park on Saturday, May 28 when the Fire host the Portland Timbers.
This enhanced security screening will be conducted via hand-held metal detectors at all gates to the stadium. The club is making every effort to ensure the entry process remains as efficient as possible.
As both fans and security personnel adjust to this new process, lines will be longer than you’ve experienced in the past. Therefore, the club recommends that all fans allow extra time for stadium entry on Saturday. All stadium gates open 60 minutes prior to kickoff (6:30 p.m.).

The increased security policy was unanimously supported by the MLS Board of Governors and involved input from all 20 MLS clubs.
STROKE AWARENESS NIGHT PRESENTED BY UI HEALTH
May is Stroke Awareness Month and the Fire and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) are aiming to help get the message out. Stroke is the fifth-leading cause of death in the United States, but knowing the warning signs of stroke can lead to more responsive care, resulting in a quicker recovery. The Chicago Fire Soccer Club and UI Health have partnered to host Stroke Awareness Night on Saturday, May 28. Fire fans will have many opportunities to learn about stroke awareness at the match. Fire Fest will feature a station staffed by stroke education volunteers, players will offer stroke tips via a PSA on the Toyota Park video board, and fans can pick up a UI Health water bottle on their way into the stadium with a stroke awareness information card inside. Additionally, the Fire will hold a commemorative jersey auction with proceeds benefitting the Chicago Fire Foundation.
