Update: GA Cup Central Regional Results and Schedule

With two competition days in the books and one still to come on Monday, here's a look at how the Chicago Fire Soccer Academy squads are faring at the 2017-18 Generation adidas Cup Central Regional in Toronto:

U-17

The U-17 squad stands 0-1-1 through two matches, opening the weekend with a 1-1 draw in regulation but falling in a decisive penalty shootout, 4-2, to the Colorado Rapids. On Saturday, the Fire fell to host Toronto FC, 1-0, on the strike seen below:

The Fire will look to get in the win column Monday (10 a.m. CT) against the Houston Dynamo Academy. The game is available to watch live via the YouTube player above.

Current standings for the Central Region are below, with a second round of regional play scheduled for President's Day Weekend in 2018, at the conclusion of which the top teams will advance to the Generation adidas Cup Finals in Frisco, Texas.

U-15s

The U-15s were unbeaten through their first two matches, beginning play with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids thanks to a goal by Luca Iaccino. On Saturday, the Fire and Columbus Crew SC Academy were scoreless after regulation, but the Fire picked up the extra point with a 4-3 shootout victory, punctuated by four saves by goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.

The Fire conclude the weekend Monday (10 a.m. CT) against Toronto FC.
