Three Men In Red included among MLS Team of the Week

Joao Meira Philadelphia

Coming off of Saturday night's comprehensive 3-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union, the Chicago Fire have had three players included among the MLS Team of the Week starting eleven.

For their efforts in keeping a high-scoring Philadelphia attack out of the back of the net, goalkeeper Sean Johnson (five saves) and defender Joao Meira (seven clearances, 88% passing accuracy) were included among the defensive unit, while Michael de Leeuw (one goal, one assist, three chances created) leads the forward line alongside the New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Midfielder Arturo Alvarez was selected to the bench after banging home his fifth goal of the season in the 90th minute, a finish that earned him a nomination for MLS Goal of the Week.
