2015 (CHICAGO FIRE): Made his first team debut when he entered in the 86th minute for fellow Homegrown product Harry Shipp against Columbus Crew SC on July 19. Louisville City FC (USL): Appeared in four matches for USL side Louisville City FC.

INTERNATIONAL (UNITED STATES AND PERU): 2016: Joined Peru’s U-20s for three separate training camps and played in a friendly against second division Peruvian club Cantolao. 2015: Called to United States U-20 duty by head coach Tab Ramos for the Stevan Volotic-Cele Tournament in Serbia. Started and played 70 minutes against France on Sept. 4 and entered as a substitute in the 88th minute against Israel on Sept. 7 during the competition. Was also on Ramos’ Four Nations Cup roster, coming off the bench in each of the American’s three games in Germany. 2014: Made appearances off the bench for the United States U-18’s in a pair of friendlies against Germany in Marbella, Spain. 2013: Fernandez spent the 2013 Spring Semester at the U.S. U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. He made four appearances for the U-17’s during the calendar year, starting two and recording a pair of assists. 2011: Fernandez received his first international call-up for the United States in January 2011 when he was named to the roster for the U-14 Boy’s National Team trip to Guadalajara, Mexico.

YOUTH (CHICAGO FIRE): Joined the first team after spending four years in the Fire’s Player Development system. A Fire Juniors youth product, the Downers Grove, Ill. native joined the first Under-14 Academy program at the age of 13 and went on to play for the Academy on the U-14, U-16 and U-18 teams. Fernandez was named the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s Central Conference U-16 Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season after scoring 16 goals in 25 matches.
