How he joined the club: Selected in the second round (22nd overall) of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Signed on March 11, 2016.

2016 (CHICAGO FIRE): Made four appearances off the bench. His club debut came on 4/10 at NYC. Saint Louis FC (USL): Logged 58 minutes in two appearances while on loan.

COLLEGE (UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA): Morrell was a three-time All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection during his four-year career. He racked up 10 goals and 19 assists in 63 games including a four-goal and seven-assist output in his senior season. He finished his career No. 1 on the school’s all-time assists list. Morrell also helped lead his squad to the NCAA Tournament in 2015.

PDL (VSI TAMPA): Played for VSI Tampa in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

YOUTH (STRICTLY SOCCER FC): Letterwinner at George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Fla. Helped the Eagles to the 2012 District Championship. Led GJHS to a 91-4-8 record in four years. Named First Team All-District as a senior and sophomore; Second Team All-District as a junior; and Honorable Mention All-District as a freshman. 2012 Player of the Year. Scored 75 goals with 39 assists for 189 points in his high school career. Played club soccer for Strictly Soccer FC. Took part in ESPN Disney Qualifier, Memorial Day Germantown and Disney Cup events. Scored 10 of 12 goals at Disney FYSA State Cup Final Four.
