We believe in one common goal; soccer should be accessible to anyone and everyone who has a passion to be involved.
We believe in serving others; to provide support and tools that can widen opportunities.
We believe that we are stronger in numbers. We believe it is "our family" vs. "their team".
In 2014, the Chicago Fire Soccer Club acknowledged the “Call to Action” that led to the formation of Soccer in the Community and the Community Ambassador program devoted to breaking down all barriers that restrict our engagement within the Chicagoland community through the beautiful game we all know and love; Soccer.
Your Chicago Fire Community Ambassadors are committed to building strong and lasting relationships within communities, and providing wider opportunities for children and adults to access professional soccer and interact with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.
We provide unique opportunities for all organizational types including, soccer clubs, park districts, charities, non-for-profits, schools and a variety of others to participate in quality soccer training. This is accomplished through our FREE professional year-round service to our community in the form of our 7 PROGRAMS that are tailored to fit the needs of each individual community. These programs provide youth groups with open activities, resources, and expertise to help improve the understanding of soccer delivery while connecting with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club at a grassroots level.
Senior Manager of Community Development
“We have recognised that soccer has tremendous potential to inspire change and can act as a catalyst to empower others to do the same. Community Ambassador is opening doors and making this possible.”
"Chris is by far the BEST Math guest we have had here at Evans! Chris was fantastic while motivating students to be hard-workers, outstanding while explaining instructions to staff, extremely knowledgeable when discussing future ways to incorporate Chicago Fire into the classroom, and a joy to have interacting with students as they practiced soccer skills."
-Rae Hughart, Teacher at Evans Junior High School
Community Ambassador Professional Coaching Staff
"Soccer has served as my foundation. This sport, and the experiences I have gained from it, have granted me with opportunities that I want for each and every child in the community. Everyone deserves the chance to play, and that is why I believe in this program and the work we are doing. We are granting everyone with this opportunity."
Christina is currently representing the Women's National Mexican Team and has represented her country at previous Women's World Cups.
Community Ambassador Coordinator
“Soccer can change the world. It has the ability to reach people in a way that little else does—bringing people together that would otherwise never meet. It’s a language that the world understands. I want my legacy to be that of a lasting positive impact and I have found soccer to be the best way to achieve this dream. I am excited to work with the Chicago Fire in a role that allows me to strive to grow the game that I love and use it to make a positive impact on the people in the city of Chicago.”
Community Ambassador Professional Coaching Staff
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a coach for the fire. Soccer has always been a part of my life and I am beyond grateful to turn my passion into a career. As a lead coach, my goal is to spread the love of soccer to the youth I will be working with. Beyond just the skills, I am excited to see the personal growth of players in the character development. I look forward to being apart of the Fire Family!”
Community Ambassador Business Administration Intern, and Coach
Seattle University Student
“Soccer has always played a vital role in my life. Being able to provide everyone with the opportunities to play soccer and gain more knowledge or the sport is important. I have always wanted to give back to the Chicagoland Community as well and being able to synergize soccer and community together is the perfect opportunity.”
Community Ambassador Social Media Intern
DePaul University Student
“I’m excited to be able to share my love for soccer while being able to give back to the community in such a positive way. Giving these kids the opportunity and resources, they normally wouldn’t have access too through the sport I love, is why this means so much to me.”
*Our Community Ambassador staff are USSF certified, soccer professionals, with extensive experience working with players, coaches and parents.*
“I had a fire in me to seek work with meaning...this fire turned into a “mission- driven” passion the second I hit Toyota Park, met the Fire Family, and learned about their incredible vision for our community.”
Throughout her summer internship, Katie served as an intern for the Community Ambassador program. During this time, she was granted with the opportunity to promote the Community Ambassador’s growing brand through the implementation of social media campaigns, collaboration with designers and the editorial team on marketing and brand development materials, and assistance with the coordination of Ambassador events.
“The role fit perfectly with what I am currently studying in school at The University of Dayton, I appreciated Chris’s ability to ensure that each project I worked on was meaningful to my academic career and the skills I wanted to apply and enhance.”
Katie’s unique role allowed her to encapsulate the shared experiences of each community event. After reflecting on her own experience in this role she stated; “Interning for the Community Ambassador Program empowered me to make a lasting mark on this program with the time I had. From the moment I shook Chris’s hand, and accepted this position, I was welcomed into a family that lived our values through the work we did. And, at the end of the day, it was easy to work hard when I was able to witness the impact of our work in each and every single one of the smiling faces that experience our 7 programs.”
Katie’s last remarks on her time with the Fire Family were met with smiles as she stated; “I consider myself incredibly blessed with this experience. Each time I left the office, or a community event, I felt as though I had received more than I was giving, every single time. After some time, I realized it was the direct result of our unique “team-orientated” culture. I am so grateful to have this as one of my first experiences outside of the classroom, and to have gained colleagues that will serve as life long friends and mentors to me.”

Where do Community Ambassador clinics take place?
We come to you!
The clinics are delivered at your facility, within your community, making it accessible for as many people to attend as possible. Clinics are delivered indoors and outdoors and we try to be as accommodating as possible to work within the space available.
What is expected from our organization?
All we need is confirmation of space and for all participants to complete a participation release waiver. These waivers can be completed HERE.
We can also provide you with a PDF version to print and hand out to all participants.
We will provide cones, soccer balls and other soccer equipment for the clinic portion of the visit, as well as all necessary presentation slides and handouts.
What if a participant does not hand in their Community Ambassador Waiver Form?
Unfortunately, if a participant fail to complete and hand in their waiver form, they would not be able to participate. We have hard copy waivers at all our clinics and also have an easy to use online waiver in our waiver section.
