CHICAGO (Oct. 31, 2019) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that midfielder Djordje Mihailović has been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team Pre-Camp roster.
Scheduled to occur from Nov. 2-9 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., the USMNT pre-camp falls outside of the November FIFA international window and includes 20 players who have finished their MLS season. Formal camp will begin Nov. 10 in preparation for the Concacaf Nations League Group finale.
Mihailović returns to USMNT camp for the first time since the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. The midfielder has earned five caps for the senior team in 2019, including two Gold Cup appearances.
Additionally, the 20-year-old has featured in all four U.S. U-23 games in 2019, recently captaining the team to a 6-1 victory against El Salvador on Oct. 15 at FIU Stadium in Miami, Fla. He previously notched starts for the U-23s against Egypt (March 22) and the Netherlands (March 24), before starting and captaining the side in a 2-0 friendly win over Japan on Sept. 9.
