BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2019) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club today announced that midfielder Djordje Mihailović has been named to the U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team roster for its upcoming training camp in Miami, Fla.
Led by Head Coach Jason Kreis, the team’s training camp will be held at Florida International University from Oct. 6 to Oct. 16. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the U.S. U-23 MNT will face El Salvador’s U-23 side at Florida International University.
Mihailović, 20, is one of only two players to appear in all three games for the U-23s in 2019. After notching starts for the U-23s against Egypt (March 22) and the Netherlands (March 24), Mihailović recently started and captained the U-23s in a 2-0 friendly win over Japan on Sept. 9 at the Chula Vista Elite Athletic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. At the senior team level, the midfielder has also earned five caps under Head Coach Gregg Berhalter in 2019, including two appearances in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
