Among others from his native Ghana, Chicago Fire forward David Accam's journey to Major League Soccer was not an easy one.
The latest episode of MLS Insider takes a look at how, with poverty widespread and opportunities scarce in Accam's native Ghana, he and a few other MLSers made their way to the Right to Dream Academy, which changed the course of their lives and propelled them to the United States.
There are currently six players in MLS who graduated from the Right to Dream Academy. In addition to Accam is LA's Emmanuel Boateng, Philadelphia's Joshua Yaro, Crew SC's Mohammed Abu, Minnesota forward Abu Danladi, Colorado Rapids midfielder Nana Boateng.
