Video Review was officially instituted in Major League Soccer with the first set of matches (Aug. 5-6) following last month's MLS All-Star Game. On Saturday, the Fire saw it utilized in one of their own MLS fixtures for the first time, as a 50th-minute challenge by Montreal's Deian Boldor on Chicago's Bastian Schweinsteiger was deemed by the Video Assistant Referee to be worthy of a red card.
