WATCH: Chicago Fire vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC

The Chicago Fire began play at the 2016 Simple Invitational hosted by the Portland Timbers on Sunday (Feb. 21) with a preseason friendly vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Fire emerged from an entertaining match with a 3-2 win thanks to a first-half goal by trialist John Goossens and second-half penalty kicks by Gilberto and Kennedy Igboananike.
