Chicago Fire Begin 2016 Preseason Training Monday

CHICAGO (Jan. 22, 2016) ā€“ The Chicago Fire are set to open their 2016 preseason training camp on Monday, Jan. 25 at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch. 

The Fire will train in the Chicagoland area for five days prior to departing for Tampa, Fla. on Jan. 31. While in Chicago, the Fire and Valspar Paint will host a jersey launch event at Centerpoint Chicago (3310 N. Elston Ave.) on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT. The training session on Friday, Jan. 29 at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch is open to the public.


For the final leg, the Fire close out preseason from Feb. 15 ā€“ 28 in Portland, Ore. as part of the 2016 Simple Invitational where they face reigning MLS Cup champions Portland Timbers FC, fellow MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps FC and NASL side Minnesota United FC.

Thursday, Feb. 11 ā€“ Chicago Fire vs. Philadelphia Union ā€“ 3 p.m. CT - Clearwater, Fla.


Feb. 12: Return to Chicago
Feb. 15: Travel to Portland, Ore.
