2015 Aldi Chicago Fire Goal of the Year Champion -

Defender Lovel Palmer scored for the second time in his two-year Chicago Fire career in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup action June 30 at Toyota Park. With the Men In Red locked in a 1-1 game with the Charlotte Independence, Palmer stepped up and buried a 30-yard left-footed laser to provide the eventual game-winning goal in a 3-1 Fire victory.

Palmer's strike earned the fans' vote for 2015 Aldi Chicago Fire Goal of the Year, outlasting a field of seven other entrants and topping fellow finalist and defending Goal of the Year champion Patrick Nyarko with 63.6 percent of the vote in the final pairing.
