Defender Adailton Undergoes Core Muscle Repair Procedure

Adailton

CHICAGO (Sept. 2,  2015) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club has announced that defender Adailton underwent a core muscle repair procedure on Tuesday. The surgery was performed by Dr. William C. Meyers of the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. Adailton is expected to miss approximately six to eight weeks.
“After discussing this with our medical staff, it was determined that surgery was the best course of action,” said Chicago Fire Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop. “It’s always unfortunate when a player misses a extended amount of time but this was a lingering issue that Adailton had been struggling with for some time.”
The Brazilian centerback joined the Fire on Dec. 30, 2014. The Salvador, Brazil native scored one goal in 17 matches for the Fire this season.
