Before going their separate ways to enjoy a weekend off the pitch, the Chicago Fire gathered inside Toyota Park Friday morning for an intra-squad scrimmage. The affair ended in a 3-1 outcome in favor of the third kit-wearing squad, with Shaun Maloney tallying twice and Harry Shipp once for the victorious side. The Fire resume training Monday morning to begin preparations for an upcoming visit to the Montreal Impact (Saturday, April 18, 2 p.m. CT, CSN Chicago Plus).
