The road to the Chicago Fire's record-tying fifth U.S. Open Cup title will have to go through Seattle, then either Dallas or Philadelphia as those two sides won the right to host the 2014 final following a coin fip conducted by U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati in Portland on Monday Night.
The draw was done during a live edition of the Men in Blazers podcast at Pioneer Place, amid many MLS All-Star festivities.
Depending on who ends up in the final, the match will be played either September 16-17 or October 1. If the Fire are victorious against Seattle on August 13, the team will visit the Philadelphia/FC Dallas winner in September. Those two sides play a day earlier at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
