POLL: Was Jermaine Jones' strike vs. Portugal the best U.S. goal ever in a World Cup?

Jermaine Jones

Having gathered myself just a little bit after the up-and-down 2-2 draw vs. Portugal, I'm wondering today if Jermaine Jones' scintillating 64th minute strike from outside the box is the best goal ever scored by a U.S. player in the World Cup?

Unfortunately, we have no video of the goals from 1930, 1934 or Joe Gaetjen's historic goal vs. England in 1950. That said, our expert panel has narrowed down some finalists for today's poll:

Eric Wynalda 1994 vs. Switzerland

Brian McBride 2002 vs. Portugal

Clint Mathis 2002 vs. South Korea
