CHICAGO (June 13, 2014) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Friday that Homegrown midfielder Victor Pineda has been loaned to NASL side Indy Eleven. The Fire will retain the option to recall Pineda during the loan period.

“As the NASL’s fall season gets underway soon, we saw this as a good opportunity for Victor to play consistently,” said Chicago Fire Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop. “It’ll keep him close to home and we’re looking forward to monitoring his progress while he’s at Indy Eleven.”

Pineda, a Fire Academy product and the first Homegrown player in club history, made his competitive debut on March 23, 2014 in a 1-1 draw with the New York Red Bulls. The Bolingbrook, Ill. native has since appeared in three additional games as a substitute.

A U.S. youth international, Pineda most recently joined the Under-21 Men’s National Team for a training camp in Carson, Calif. from April 20-24.
