The last 36 hours have been a whirlwind for new Chicago Fire midfielder Benji Joya.

After finding out his MLS futured would be with Chicago on Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. youth international had his travel booked in the wee hours of Thursday morning for a plane that was to depart Torreón, Mexico at 7:55am. 


Joya eventually arrived to Tampa International Airport on Thursday afternoon, ate dinner with his new teammates that night and took in his first training session with the Men in Red Friday morning.
