MLS Disciplinary Committee fines and suspends Daniel Paladini additional game for July 7 tackle

NEW YORK (July 13, 2013) – 
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an additiona
l one-game suspension and fined Chicago Fire midfielder Daniel Paladini for his reckless challenge that endangered the safety of his opponent, Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer, in the 93+ minute of the teams’ game on July 7 (

The referee issued a red card on the play, and the Committee determined that the offense was egregious and required additional action to protect player safety. Paladini will be suspended for two games: July 14 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC and July 20 against D.C. United.
