CHICAGO – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the organization has named Cricket as the club’s official wireless partner. The multi-year agreement with Cricket, the leader in innovative, value-rich prepaid wireless services, will bring Fire supporters great mobile options to enjoy soccer and music together.
“The Fire is excited to partner with Cricket for the coming years,” said Fire Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Dave Beck. “We view this partnership as a great opportunity for our Integrated Marketing Approach to support an innovative and ground-breaking brand, who constantly strives to improve consumers’ wireless experiences.”
This partnership includes Cricket-branded Chicago TV and media assets, in-stadium, jumbotron and building signage, and FireFest game day activations, as well as a social media campaign and upcoming mobile app, exclusively from Cricket Wireless. Cricket will also be teaming with the Fire as a proud sponsor of local youth soccer, including the Fire Camps & Training Program and three prominent youth soccer tournaments in the Chicagoland area.
“Cricket is thrilled to partner for the first time with Chicago Fire,” said Al King, area vice president for Cricket Communications, Chicago. “This cup-winning organization rallies their fans with fiery dedication, and we hope to incite the same level of spirit and energy through our support as the team’s official wireless provider.”
During home game warm-ups at Toyota Park, Fire supporters will enjoy listening to their favorite players’ “Muve Music Playlist” from Cricket’s Muve Music library. Muve Music allows users to download unlimited music straight to their phone as part of a talk, text, and data plus music package.
The Men in Red return to the pitch against the Seattle Sounders at Toyota Park on Saturday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. CT (NBC5.2/Galavision). Chicago Fire Season Tickets are available by calling 1-888-MLS-FIRE (657-3473), via Ticketmaster or by heading to the club’s official website at Chicago-Fire.com.
