Fire Re-Sign Dasan Robinson

Dasan Robinson was selected by the Fire in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the Fire has come to terms and re-signed defender Dasan Robinson. The 26-year-old defender will report to TOYOTA PARK when the team arrives on Friday, Jan. 28. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We value Dasan’s commitment to the Fire and are very excited to have him back for his sixth season with the club,” said Fire Technical Director Frank Klopas. “Dasan is a hard working, versatile defender who brings a positive attitude, understanding of the game and strong defensive mindset to our back line.”
Since joining the club in 2006, the University of Dayton product has appeared in 80 matches, starting 71 totaling 6,283 minutes, scoring three goals and adding one assist while donning Fire red. The 5’11, 160-pound defender played a part in the Fire’s run to three consecutive Eastern Conference Finals from 2007-2009.
Robinson emerged from the ranks of the club’s player development system, playing 29 matches with PDL side Chicago Fire Premier from 2004-2005, before joining the Fire in the second round of the 2006 Supplemental Draft.
