Yesterday’s Result: Well that’s it. Marco Pappa will be guaranteed to have at least one of his team-high seven goals in the 2010 Chicago Fire Goal of the Year Final as his 2010 MLS Goal of the Year from April 10 against San Jose beat out Peter Lowry’s goal, the 600th in club regular season history from October 8 against Columbus.

One Final Four matchup: Pappa’s goal vs. San Jose wins the Kubik Bracket championship and will take on his goal from June 27 against New England in the first semifinal matchup next Tuesday, November 30.

Today’s Matchup:  Klopas Bracket - #1 Brian McBride (10/23 at CHV) vs. #3 Steven Kinney (9/29 at SJ)

The last goal of Brian McBride’s career, a beautiful back heel in what would also be his last match goes up against one of the unsung goals of the year in Steven Kinney’s game-winning header from September 29 at San Jose today in the Klopas bracket championship.
Kinney pulled a first round upset of Freddie Ljungberg’s goal from the same October 23 game and will look to do the same in today’s matchup, while McBride, who saw his three tournament entries fall to one after the first round will look to join Pappa in the Final Four.
The winner takes on the winner of Monday’s Armas Bracket final: #1 Logan Pause (5/8 at Toronto) vs. #2 Marco Pappa (6/9 vs. COL) in Wednesday’s semifinal.
