Goal of the Year Voting Day 10: Kubik Bracket - #1 Marco Pappa (4/10 vs. SJ) vs. #2 Peter Lowry (10/8 vs. CLB)
Marco Pappa became the first entrant into the Final Four of
our Goal of the Year voting yesterday as his third seeded June 27 goal at New
England upended #1 Collins John’s free kick from September 4 against LA.
Pappa has the chance to see his second entrant and perhaps
his best move the Final Four today as his 2010 MLS Goal of the Year goes up
against #2 Peter Lowry’s game winning strike in the October 8 anniversary win
over Columbus. Lowry’s goal has historic value as well, it was the 600th
goal in Chicago Fire regular season history.
The winner will advance to take on yesterday’s victor, with
the potential for a Pappa vs. Pappa clash in the semifinal next week.
