#1 Logan Pause (5/8 at Toronto) beat out #4 seed Peter Lowry
(4/24 vs. Houston) in yesterday’s Chicago Fire Goal of the Year Voting,
advancing the veteran Fire midfielder to the final of the Armas Bracket where
he’ll take on the winner of #2 Marco Pappa (6/9 vs. Colorado) and #3 Brian
McBride (4/17 at DC).
All is not lost for Lowry as his other entry, #2 seeded
October 8 strike against Columbus which also stood as the club’s 600th
all-time regular season goal will take on #3 Wilman Conde’s headed effort from
August 21 at Houston on Tuesday.
