The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that rookie defender Steven Kinney underwent successful Achilles rupture repair on his right leg on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. The surgery, performed by Dr. Anand Vora, was a success and Kinney is expected to make a full recovery.
Kinney injured his right Achilles tendon in the 57th minute of the Fire’s 4-1 victory over Chivas USA Oct. 23.
