2017 (VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC): Acquired in a trade with Columbus Crew SC on 3/30. Scored four goals and had one assist in 27 regular season games. MLS Cup Playoffs: Played 84 minutes in Whitecaps FC’s 5-0 win vs. SJ in the opening round, and put in a 90-minute shift in the first leg of Vancouver’s Western Conference Semifinal vs. SEA on 10/30.

 

2017 (COLUMUBUS CREW SC): Did not appear in a match before he was traded to Vancouver on 3/30.

 

2016 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Had one goal and three assists in 21 games. U.S. Open Cup: Played 45 minutes in both of Columbus’ matches before they bowed out of the tournament with a 2-1 loss vs. CHI on 6/29.  

 

2015 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Set career-highs with five goals and six assists in 32 appearances. U.S. Open Cup: Played 90 minutes in a 3-1 win at Richmond Kickers on 6/18, and 75 minutes in a 2-0 loss at ORL on 7/1. MLS Cup Playoffs: Started each of Columbus’ five playoff games, helping them reach the MLS Cup Final.

 

2014 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Recorded six assists in 33 league matches. Tchani had assists in back-to-back-to-back games from 10/5 to 10/19. U.S. Open Cup: Played 120 minutes in a penalty-kick victory vs. Indy Eleven on 6/18. MLS Cup Playoffs: Scored a goal in the second leg of Crew SC’s Eastern Conference Semifinal exit vs. NE on 11/9.

 

2013 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Recorded one assist in 22 league matches. U.S. Open Cup: Started and played 82 minutes in Crew SC’s 2-1 loss vs. CHI on 6/13.

 

2012 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Scored two goals and had two assists in 22 games during his first full season in Columbus.

 

2011 (COLUMBUS CREW SC): Did not appear in a league match after joining Crew SC via trade from Toronto FC on 7/15. MLS Cup Playoffs: Tchani started and played 90 minutes in Columbus’ 1-0 loss vs. COL on 10/28.

 

2011 (TORONTO FC): Acquired by Toronto FC via trade from the New York Red Bulls on 4/1. Tchani scored one goal in 13 games during his stint with Toronto FC. Canadian Championship: Appeared in all four of Toronto FC’s Canadian Championship matches, helping them win and earn qualification to CONCACAF Champions League.

 

2011 (NEW YORK RED BULLS): Appeared in two matches before being traded to Toronto FC on 4/1.

 

2010 (NEW YORK RED BULLS): No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. Scored one goal and had three assists in 27 games during his rookie season. Made his MLS debut vs. CHI on 3/28 with a substitute appearance in the 89th minute. Tchani’s first goal came vs. CLB on 5/21, and his first assist came at TOR on 8/21. U.S. Open Cup: Made on appearance, clocking 54 minutes in an extra-time loss vs. Harrisburg City on 6/30.

 

INTERNATIONAL (UNITED STATES): Made his lone appearance for the Stars and Stripes in a 3-2 friendly win vs. Iceland on 1/31.

 

INTERNATIONAL (CAMEROON): Tchani ultimately decided to represent Cameroon on the national team level, drawing an appearance in African Cup of Nations Qualification for the Indomitable Lions vs. South Africa on 3/26/16. Tchani earned his second cap for Cameroon in a friendly vs. Gabon on 9/6/16.

 

COLLEGE (VIRGINIA): Tchani helped the University of Virgina win the NCAA Tournament in 2009. He spent two seasons in Virginia, recording eight goals and four assists in 2009 and was a First Team All-America selection by the NSCAA and College Soccer News. The midfielder earned spots on the ACC All-Tournament Team, NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team and All-ACC Second Team.
