After missing the entire 2011 MLS season after suffering a ruptured Achilles during the last match of 2012, Kinney battled through setbacks and returned to the pitch on Aug. 15, 2012 and notched an assist in a 3-1 MLS Reserve League match. Returned to league play and started the first two matches of the Fire’s 2013 campaign.

2013:  Started the first two matches of the season for the Fire, the season opener on March 3 in a 4-0 loss against the LA Galaxy and the March 9 home opener in a 1-0 loss to the New England Revolution.

2012:  MLS RESERVE LEAGUE: Appeared in three matches, all starts, tallying one assist in his return to action Aug. 15 against the Colorado Rapids.

2011: Due to an Achilles injury in the last match of 2010, did not appear in any matches for the Fire in 2011.

2010: Appeared in 13 matches, starting 10, while recording 1 goal and 1 assist over 963 minutes… Made first MLS appearance, playing 90 minutes and hitting both posts off set pieces in a 1-0 loss vs. RSL on 7/8…Scored first MLS goal and game winner in 3-0 victory at SJ on 9/29…Tallied first assist in 2-0 victory over CLB on 10/8…Started final match of the season on 10/23 at CHV, but left in the 58th minute after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right leg. Underwent surgery days later …SUPERLIGA: Appeared in 2 matches, starting both… Scored first professional goal in 5-1 loss to Monarcas Morelia on 7/14…LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP: Started and played the full 120 minutes in shootout loss to Charleston Battery on 6/29…INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: Made first professional appearance, coming on as a sub in 3-0 loss to Legia Warsaw on 5/22.

Helped the Concorde Fire to the 2005 Disney Showcase title as well as three Region III Premier League titles and a USYSA Regional finals appearance in 2006… A two-time team captain for Norcross High School… Named all-county and selected as his team’s offensive player of the year in 2005… Norcross captured a 7AAAAA region title during his time at the school.
