A former Inter Milan youth player, Tornaghi earned a contract with the Fire after impressing the technical staff in the preseason. Tornaghi started the first three games of the 2012 season in goal while Sean Johnson was away on international duty, posting a shutout while going 1-1-1. Tornaghi will challenge his fellow goalkeepers for more playing time in 2013.
