How he joined the club: Acquired via loan from MTK Budapest (Hungary) on May 2, 2016.

2016 (CHICAGO FIRE): Scored one goal in 20 games, including 15 starts, for the Men in Red. Made his MLS debut on 5/14 at NE, and scored his first career MLS goal on 6/22 at PHI. U.S. Open Cup: Started three of the club’s four matches.

2015-16 (MTK BUDAPEST): Had three goals and two assists in 36 total matches. Two of his goals and both assists came during league play as he helped MTK Budapest to a fourth-place finish in the table. Thiam also scored one goal in three Magyar Cup appearances. Thiam played 90-minute shifts in each of MTK’s two Europa League Qualifiers against FK Vojvodina.

2014-15 (MTK BUDAPEST): Had one goal and one assist in 16 games for MTK Budapest. Helped MTK finish third in the league table, earning them a spot in the 2015-16 UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round.

2013-14 (KAPOSVARI RFC): Had four goals and two assists in 21 total appearances for Kaposvari RFC (Hungary). Three of those goals and both assists came during league play. He also scored once in his two Magyar Cup appearances.

2012-13 (KAPOSVARI RFC II): Recorded three goals in 13 appearances for Kaposvari’s second team before moving to the first team, where he scored one goal in six league appearances and also came off the bench in one Magyar Cup game.

YOUTH (RACING CLUB DAKAR): Began his youth career with Racing Club Dakar in his native Senegal.
