Background (School, Job): Born in Chicago, oldest of 6 siblings. Daequan suffered a stroke at the tender age of 5 months. He overcame every obstacle and odd that was against him. Daequan’s passion for soccer was learned at an early age of 6. He would often practice in his backyard. As he grew older he noticed he was playing with peers that did not have a disability as himself. He was determined to be great and not allow his disability to define him. He now stands before you a humble and victorious energetic young man with a prosperous future.

Accomplishments: Played with the grapes (Crete Park District) at age 6, trained at the Salvation Army Kroc Center and won State in Basketball his first year at Homewood-Flossmoor

Why is being a member of the Chicago Fire All Star Team important to you? Having fun while competing, I also get to learn new techniques.
