How Acquired:    Selected 13th overall (1st round) in 2010 SuperDraft

The club’s first round selection in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Bone made strides in his third MLS season, gaining valuable experience in MLS Reserve League matches. The Plano, Texas product showed some of the attacking acumen that was evident during his college career, scoring goals in both the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and the international friendly against Club Santos Laguna. Bone will look to further entrench himself in a crowded Fire midfield in 2013 by drawing on experience gained from a 10-day training stint with La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

2012: Appeared in two first team matches, logging 26 minutes…LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP: Appeared in one match, starting and scoring the first goal in a 3-2 overtime loss vs. Michigan Bucks 5/29…INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: Started both of the international friendlies, scoring the equalizing goal in a 2-2 draw with Club  Santos Laguna 9/8…MLS RESERVE LEAGUE: Started all 10 matches, scoring one goal and tallying two assists over 897 minutes.

College/PDL: Appeared in 2 matches, starting 1 for the USL Premier Development League’s Carolina Dynamo in 2009: Named First Team All-American by the NSCAA for the second consecutive year, Bone started every game, recording three goals and 13 assists, ranking second in the ACC during 2009. Finished his college career with 38 assists, good enough for second all-time in school history. Bone helped lead the Demon Deacons to their fourth straight College Cup, before falling 3-2 in overtime to eventual champions Virginia in the national semifinals. Was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy… 2008: Appeared in 24 matches, tallying 7 goals and 17 assists for 31 points. Bone led the nation in assists with 17, setting a new school record along the way. Named First Team All American, while helping the Demon Deacons back to the NCAA College Cup, where they eventually fell to North Carolina in the national semifinals… 2007: Appeared in 20 matches, tallying 5 goals and 8 assists for 18 points as a freshman, while helping Wake Forest to the national championship. Bone was named to Soccer America’s All-Freshman First Team as well as being named ACC Freshman of the Year.
