TEAM PARTICIPATION, PLAYER/COACH PASSES AND GUEST PLAYERS
The team or teams must be entered for competition in a league affiliated with the USSF or US CLUB and be sanctioned by the appropriate State or National Association. Prior to competition, teams must present proof of affiliation and permission to travel (out of state teams). Validated, laminated State player passes, as well as parental medical release forms, are required for all players participating in the tournament. Teams are allowed 3 passed coaches on bench. Each coach in the bench area must be licensed and hold the appropriate pass, and is responsible for his/her team and spectators at each game. Any team not having a passed coach at the beginning of the game will have until the end of halftime to provide a passed coach or the game at hand will be forfeited (see Forfeit section for impact of forfeiting a game). A maximum of three guest players is allowed (players from same club are not considered guest players). Teams need no prior approval for guest players. Forms for guest players can be attained through state association. Questions regarding guest players should be directed to the Tournament Director.
If you wish to participate in the VALSPAR INVITATIONAL, please complete the online application in its entirety and complete payment (US currency). The application must be completed online and tournament fee paid by August 5, 2016. The online registration can be found at www.chicago-fire.com/valspar-invitational. Fees can be paid either online with a credit card (additional processing fee applies) or by mailing in a check.

Players, coaching staff and family members participating in the tournament will have an opportunity to experience the Athletes Village. The Athletes Village is an interactive area located in the middle of the Libertyville soccer fields and will host Valspar, Adidas, Eurosport and Chicago Fire fun activities for participants to take part in when not on the field of play. The village will also feature lounge areas with TV’s and Xbox’s available to play.

Please note this is a Stay to Play Event for non-local teams. As a condition of acceptance, all non-local attendees are expected to utilize official event hotels. Upon registration and confirmation of acceptance, and email with official event hotel information will be sent to team managers. All hotels provide rooms with 2 beds (or King and pullout sleeper) and are convenient to fields and dining. Please note that no room type guarantee is available.
There are no parking fees for this event at the Libertyville Township Soccer Complex.
Please review the Team Manager Checklist and download all required documents for the tournament. Teams will not be allowed to compete until all the necessary paperwork has been received.

Tournament registration will be open on Friday August 26th from 12:00-8:00 PM at Libertyville Township Soccer Complex – 30080 Technology Way, Libertyville, IL 60048. Player passes will be checked against all received player information, and any missing materials must be brought to registration.
Team files must be complete before player passes are banded at the check-in location. Those playing on Friday will be required to have their player passes banded at least two hours prior to your first game. T-shirts will also be collected at this point. Players need not be present at registration.
Tournament registration will also be open on Saturday August 27th from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at Libertyville Township Soccer Complex – 30080 Technology Way, Libertyville, IL 60048. If your first game is on Saturday, all teams must be registered a minimum of 1 hour before your first game.
PLEASE NOTE – it is highly recommended that teams send in their paperwork prior to the tournament and check-in on the Friday night.
