Strength and Conditioning Coach
Tony Jouaux heads into his third season as the club’s Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2013. The 27-year-old previously served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Louisville. Jouaux will be responsible for developing and implementing strength, fitness and conditioning with the Fire first team.
While at Louisville, Jouaux worked with the men's and women's soccer teams and field hockey team. The former Auxerre youth player, worked closely with the men's soccer team as they advanced to the 2010 NCAA Championship game.
Jouaux, a product of Auxerre, France, has a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning. His research at Louisville focused on energy systems development and heart rate training.
In 2007, he received his Bachelor's degree in Sport Training and Sport Management at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France. That same year, he also received his soccer coaching license.
Jouaux played with the Louisville Lightning of the Professional Arena Soccer League during the 2009-10 seasons.
