As the Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew SC prepare to meet for the 57th time Saturday night (6:30 p.m. CT, CSN Chicago Plus), a glance at each club's roster reveals three players who have joined the list of competitors to play for both sides of the Midwestern rivalry.
Chicago defender Eric Gehrig and goalkeeper Matt Lampson each arrived at the Fire after beginning their pro careers in Columbus, while midfielder Dilly Duka is now in his second stint with Crew SC and also spent a season-and-a-half (2013-14) in Chicago. (Current Crew SC assistant coach Josh Wolff also was a standout goal-scorer for the Fire from 1998-2002).
