BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (Sept. 10, 2016) ā€“ The Chicago Fire fell 2-1 to Toronto FC on Saturday evening at Toyota Park, snapping a 12-game home unbeaten streak that began on April 30, 2016.

Toronto opened scoring in the 33rd minute when Justin Morrow dribbled down the left flank and played a square ball into the 18-yard-box and found Jozy Altidore, who took a quick touch to settle and sent his right-footed shot past an outstretched Sean Johnson for the lead.

The visitors doubled that lead in the 52nd minute when they capitalized on a turnover. Altidore got a foot out to cut off a Johnson throw. The ball fell to the feet of Jonathan Osorio, whose one-time shot sailed into the open goal.

The Fire would cut the deficit in half just minutes later. Fresh off international duty with the Ghanaian National Team, David Accam entered the match in the 56th minute in a move that paid immediate dividends. Brandon Vincent played the ball forward to Accam, who evaded his defenders and found John Goossens inside the penalty area. Goossens lofted the ball up and found Michael de Leeuw at the top of the six-yard-box, who snapped his header past Alex Bono to pull the Fire within one.
