Six seasons into his professional career, goalkeeper Sean Johnson has been the consummate ambassador for the sport of soccer and the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Through his persistent community outreach, supporter engagement and participation in Chicago-based youth soccer initiatives, Johnson has gained a unique perspective on his sport and the opportunities it affords.
On Tuesday (Nov. 10), Johnson brought that perspective to the latest installment of Beyond Sport's Beyond Soccer Series, contributing to a panel discussion in New York City to share his insight on inclusion, diversity and the merits of broad-based youth soccer participation.
