Two Chicago Fire goals are included among the 32 candidates announced Wednesday, both of which came against the New York Red Bulls. The first was Patrick Nyarko’s first-half strike in a 3-2 win for the Fire on August 26, when Nyarko received a clever chest pass from Michael Stephens near the penalty spot. Nyarko whirled and struck a left-footed shot past Luis Robles to give Chicago a 2-1 lead.

Also in the field is David Accam’s open-field magic at Red Bull Arena on Sept. 11. After chasing down a Michael Stephens clearance, the fleet-footed Accam carried into the penalty area and deftly cut back on Robles to leave himself with a tap-in for the goal.
