CHICAGO (Oct. 1, 2015) — The Chicago Fire Soccer Club and University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) have teamed up for the fourth consecutive year to host Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Saturday, Oct. 3 when the Fire host the New England Revolution at Toyota Park at 7:30 p.m. CT (My50/ESPN Deportes 97.5 FM).

Tickets for the match are available by calling 888-MLS-FIRE and Ticketmaster. The first 5,000 fans in the stadium will receive a mini pink scarf.

The Fire and UI Health created a PSA video featuring Fire players Kennedy Igboananike, Sean Johnson, Mike Magee and Harry Shipp to remind women that early detection of breast cancer can save lives. To schedule a next-day mammogram with UI Health, call 855-484-2422 or click here.

“UI Health is proud to be title night sponsor for Breast Cancer Awareness Night,” said Dr. Avijit Ghosh, CEO, University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics. “It’s great to have the opportunity to raise awareness for breast cancer with Chicago Fire fans and the MLS community.”

In addition to the video, which will be shown in-stadium on Saturday and can be found above, the match will be played with a commemorative pink adidas NATIVO 2015 Official Match Ball, pink corner flags and pink goal nets.

Saturday’s game will also honor breast cancer survivors on the videoboard during the pregame ceremonies. The ceremonial first kick will be performed by Dr. Alejandra Perez-Tamayo, a UI Health surgeon who specializes in breast surgery, and the ceremonial coin toss will be performed by UI Health Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bud Pygon.
Additionally, the Concession Item of the Match is pink cotton candy sold at all concession stands, with a discounted price of $3.20 for season ticket holders. The stadium club will also feature a pink lemonade drink.
