Chicago Fire Set to Debut Fan-Centric MLS Jersey Numbers

Fan Jersey Number

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- As part of an original league-wide initiative, the Chicago Fire in the month of August will represent hundreds of the club's season ticket holders on their jersey numbers in all home and away matches, beginning this Sunday against FC Dallas (6 p.m. CT, FOX Sports 1). Earlier this year, season ticket holders were invited to upload images of themselves to be incorporated into the jersey number of their choice on the kits of their favorite team.
MLS is the first league to utilize this platform, provided by Spanish company Playing2, which Mexico's national team, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have already used.

Starting with Sunday's match, fans will be able to visit the Toyota Park Fan Shop to purchase recreations of the jersey numbers, pressed either on a red background or onto a Chicago Fire secondary kit. Additionally, the Chicago Fire Foundation is set to auction the game-worn jerseys of Shaun Maloney and Razvan Cocis featuring the numbers during this Sunday's match.
Supporters who uploaded their image to the program are invited to locate their photo in the graphics below, which are identical to those that will be worn by the Chicago Fire throughout the month of August.
