BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. — Soccer In The Community, the grassroots outreach initiative of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, kicked off its wide-ranging 2015 Summer Camp series this week, bringing the beautiful game to youth soccer players across the Midwest.
2015 SITC Summer Camps
SITC sponsors more than 50 summer camps at community-based locations throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin. Chicago-area campers are specifically invited to attend one of four camps being hosted at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch, the Chicago Fire's year-round soccer center located at 3626 N Talman Ave. on Chicago's North Side.
Registration remains open for camps running through June, July and August.
“We’re excited to have expanded our outreach this year, working with a number of new youth soccer organizations and facilities to bring our Summer Camp experience to communities across the Midwest,” said Lee Hannant, Manager of Soccer In The Community. “The aim of our Summer Camps is to connect the Chicago Fire with players of all ages and abilities, to provide an opportunity to develop and refine their skills with professional coaches, and to cultivate a love for soccer.”
