BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (May 21, 2015) — The Chicago Fire learned today the first test they'll face in their latest quest for a fifth Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title, with Thursday evening's announcement of Fourth-Round scenarios for the 2015 tournament. The Men In Red are set to face the winner of a Third-Round contest between Louisville City FC and Indy Eleven. The match will be played at Toyota Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
The Fire, with a 36-12-4 all-time record in U.S. Open Cup play, have never before faced either of their potential opponents in Open Cup action. Louisville City FC and Indy Eleven will play their decisive Third-Round match on Wednesday, May 27, at the home of Indy Eleven, IUPUI's Michael A. Carroll Stadium.
An exact date and time for the match as well as ticket information will be announced at a later date. The match is included in the Chicago Fire Season Ticket Holder U.S. Open Cup Series.
