Fire to hold "Bracket Brunch" for 2014 FIFA World Cup Draw on Friday, December 6 at Fado

WC Draw Party

Uruguay’s 0-0 draw with Jordan Wednesday night in Montevideo brought to end the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying cycle which saw 816 games played on six different continents over the course of nearly two-and-a-half years.

With that, the 32-team field for next summer’s big show in Brazil are set ahead of the final draw in Bahia on Friday, December 6.

What better way to celebrate an easy road to the knockout stage or begin commiserating about being drawn into the “Group of Death” than by gathering with local Chicago soccer fans that morning?

Join us and Chicago Fire midfielder Jeff Larentowicz for our World Cup “Bracket Brunch” party from 10am-noon at Fado Irish Pub (100 W. Grand Avenue! The Fire will be running a Bracket Prediction Pool with prizes handed out for the person that most closely picks the first nation drawn and the U.S. Men’s National Team’s three group opponents (or closest to it).

Prizes will include a $300 Happy Hour at Fado’s, Chicago Fire primary jersey and Fire prize packs!

Watch Chicago-Fire.com for more details but until then, download our Tournament Bracket (PDF) and learn the "Drawology" to run through your very own Mock Draw here.
