Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford today announced that Notre Dame senior captain and forward Harrison Ship has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Year. The Fire Academy, Super-20 and PDL alum, who has not missed a match in his collegiate career, was selected in a vote of the 12 ACC head coaches.
A Lake Forest, Ill. native, Shipp ranked second in the ACC in points (24) and is tied for second in assists (8) and for third in goals (8).
Also garnering All-ACC First Team honors, Shipp next leads the Fighting Irish in the ACC Tournament Semifinals against the University of Virginia on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md.
