Chicago Fire Fall 2-1 To Seattle Sounders FC In High-Paced Affair

SEATTLE, Wash.(Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013) – The Chicago Fire (10-11-5, 35 points) fell 2-1 to the Seattle Sounders FC (14-8-4, 46 points) Saturday evening at CenturyLink Field. Mike Magee scored his 15th goal of the season in the 25th minute and Sean Johnson saved an Osvaldo Alonso penalty kick attempt in the 30th minute before the Fire fell victim to a Lamar Neagle strike in the 40th minute and an unfortunate Gonzalo Segares own goal in the 89th minute as the match ended 2-1.

-With the loss, the Fire fall to 0-5-3 all-time in MLS Regular Season matches against the Sounders
-Mike Magee scored his 15th goal of the season, moving him into a tie with Marco DiVaio atop the MLS Golden Boot standings.
