Wednesday, July 3rd is the first Commemorative Jersey Auction for 2013 to benefit the Chicago Fire Foundation! For the first time, the auction will feature the Red Kit with Red, White, and Blue name and number plates. In addition to these one-of-a-kind jerseys, winners will have the opportunity to meet the player whose jersey they won after the game.

1. All jerseys start at $200 and bids will go up in increments of $25.
2. Every player on the roster and Sparky will have a jersey*
4. Fans can bid in person at Wednesday's game at the Chicago Fire Foundation tent on the northeast concourse.
5. To bid via text message-
a. You will need to type in the bid number to bid on specific player. Ex: Logan Pause = 112. It will be 1 + the jersey # of the player.
b. The text for a bid would be: 112 200 (112 = player # 200 = bid amount) You do not need $ signs.
c. You will continue to use this same thread of text message throughout the entire auction
d. To find out what price an item is at, you would just text the player’s bid # Ex: 112 and hit send
e. If you use smart phone features you will be able to see images of the jersey, type in bid and click place bid button. It is a little more user friendly than the text only option
6. Once you are registered and bid you will receive a message and link to the auction site. You will also receive a text message if you have been outbid notifying you and also telling you what your new bid would need to be to take the lead
7. At the end of the auction you will receive a confirmation message telling you if you won and to stop by tent. If you are not present, a Foundation staff member will reach out next week to secure payment and delivery of the jersey
8. The system is not able to send a text to all bidders that auction has closed but if you try to bid once closed you will receive a message letting you know it has ended
9. It is recommended that you keep bidding until you are not able to do so
10. Bidding will close at the end of halftime (approximately 8:35pm) on Wednesday.
11. There will be an * next to those who are starting to indicate the jersey was game worn. This feature will not be updated until approx 7:30 p.m. on July 3
