On Tuesday, Robbie Rogers confirmed via Twitter his meeting with Fire owner Andrew Hauptman and President of Soccer Operations Javier Leon in Los Angeles.
Wednesday, Leon spoke to The Daily Herald's Orrin Schwarz about how the Rogers rendezvous went.
"It was really very good meeting him," Leon told the Daily Herald. "I think he's a very good guy. Smart. He seemed very happy, very relaxed. He seemed to be really enjoying football again."
While precise details of the meeting weren't given, Leon continued to asert that the Fire the club would like to bring the U.S. international to Chicago should he return in full to Major League Soccer.
