CHICAGO, IL (Dec. 7, 2011) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the club has parted ways with forwards Cristian Nazarit and Gabriel Ferrari. The Colombian and American youth international spent the 2011 season with the Fire.
“We would like to thank Cristian and Gabriel for their contributions to the club,” said Fire head coach Frank Klopas. “We have mutually agreed with both players that parting ways is in the best interest of both parties and wish them well in the future.”
Nazarit tallied two goals and one assist over 15 MLS and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup appearances with the Fire after being signed to an MLS contract on May 4.
Ferrari, who earned a spot with the club in preseason, appeared in four competitive matches after being signed on March 24.
