Following Wednesday’s replay, U.S. Soccer released the fourth round quarterfinal matchup scenarios

After having to start their Second Round Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match all over again Wednesday night, the Chicago Fire PDL team finally clinched their place in the tournament’s third round with a 2-0 victory over the Madison 56ers on Wednesday night at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, Wisc.
With the victory, the Fire PDL side moves on to a Round of 16 matchup against Sporting Kansas City at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park next Tuesday, June 28. The match will be the developmental side’s first-ever against a Major League Soccer team.
With the Rochester Rhinos 1-0 defeat of the Harrisburg City Islanders in an all USL-Pro matchup Tuesday night, the Fire first team will travel to Sahlen Stadium in Rochester, NY on Tuesday (6:35pm CT) for their third round matchup with the 1999 Open Cup champions.
Following Wednesday’s replay, U.S. Soccer released the fourth round quarterfinal matchup scenarios.
With a win, the Fire first team will host the winner of the New York Red Bulls/F.C. New York match to be played Tuesday, June 28 (7:00 pm CT) at Red Bull Arena. The potential fourth round clash would be played on Tuesday, July 12 (7:30pm CT) at TOYOTA PARK.
If the Fire PDL team make it past Sporting Kansas City next Tuesday, they’ll travel to take on the winner of the Columbus Crew/Richmond Kickers (USL-Pro) match at their home venue on Tuesday, July 12 (6:30pm CT).
