Goal of the Year Voting Day 8 Result: #2 Marco Pappa (6/9 vs. Colorado) takes down #3 Brian McBride (4/17 at DC)
The Chicago Fire’s 2010 Golden Boot winner Marco Pappa saw his third entry make it through to the final eight of our 2010 Goal of the Year Voting bracket as his June 9 free kick against Colorado received 67% of the vote against Brian McBride’s April 17 header at DC United.
Pappa advances to the final of the Armas bracket where he’ll take on #1 Logan Pause (5/8 vs. Toronto) on Monday, November 29.
We’ll take a break for the weekend and restart the bracket voting on Monday, the first of Pappa’s three remaining entries (#3 seed 6/27 at New England) will take on #1 Collins John (9/4 vs. LA)!
